XML updates are pushed automatically as they happen to subscribers via HTTP.
There is an option frequency of sending data to reduce the number of updates sent, but it’s not recommended since the goal of the mechanism is to deliver the data as it happens.
Every subscriber needs to prepare an endpoint where to receive the updates. The method of authentication lies in the subscribed responsibility.
- It could be basic or digest authentication, IP filtering, or authentication headers.
